Confirmation is the time in a young person's life when they begin the journey to affirm their beliefs in the Christian faith for themselves. Confirmation is a time of learning, asking questions, and making their faith their own. Whether they have been baptized at infancy, or have yet to be baptized, confirmation helps youth prepare to profess their faith openly before God and the church.
Confirmation at First United Methodist Church of Ogallala runs through the school year from September through May. It consists of monthly two-hour class sessions, the completion of a project designed to help them grow in the areas of Prayers, Presence, Gifts, Service, and Witness, a service project, an exploration of congregation governance, and a year-end retreat.
We offer confirmation classes to those students entering the eighth grade or above. If you would like your child to participate in this year's confirmation class, register them below. Please register by August 20th, 2023.
